Shot with my Nikon D7500

There’s something hauntingly beautiful about the Oregon coast when storm clouds roll in. This shot was taken just outside Newport, where the wind carries the scent of salt and the roar of the Pacific never lets you forget how wild this place still is.

As I hiked along the edge of a cliff, this lone plant caught my eye, growing defiantly from a jagged outcrop, silhouetted against the dark sky and the distant sea. The way the last traces of golden light grazed the mossy slope felt like nature’s quiet reminder: even in darkness, there’s resilience.

I love how the Nikon D7500 handled the low light pulling out subtle tones without losing the depth of shadow. It’s a photo that speaks softly, but powerfully. Just one moment frozen in time, holding all the drama and calm of the coast.
