The Last Chapter of My Nerdy Life of Mine…

It’s hard to believe this journey has reached its final page/post. What started as a place to share my love for all things nerdy from comic books and video games to deep dives into the realms of sci-fi and fantasy has grown into something so much more. It became a place to share my personal stories from parenting, heartaches, happiness, frustrations to even feeling victorious.

Over the years, this blog has chronicled so many milestones, from the podcasts to unforgettable conventions/interviews and personal reflections on the impact of whatever topics that happen in our lives. Writing here has been a joy and a privilege, and it’s all thanks to you the readers, commenters, and friends who made this space vibrant and meaningful. I started this site in 2006… 2006, that is a long time and I never thought it would last this long. But it did.

As I write this, I’m filled with gratitude and a little nostalgia, but I’m also excited about what lies ahead. New adventures await, both online and offline. The journey of Nerdy Viking Photography….

It began as a rekindling of a passion that had always been there but needed a fresh direction. What started with Nerdy Life Of Mine, a project rooted in celebrating a variety of interests and hobbies, gradually transformed as the focus became clearer. A deep love for the outdoors and a renewed desire to capture its beauty. This evolution wasn’t just about changing a name, it was about reconnecting with nature, adventure, and the artistry of photography in an authentic and meaningful way.

As Nerdy Life Of Mine grew and shifted, the vision began to expand beyond everyday explorations, leading to the creation of Nerdy Viking Photography. Here, the concept of the “Viking” embodies a spirit of curiosity, resilience, and a longing for discovery, which pairs perfectly with a photographer’s eye for detail and a love for the outdoors. This project represents a return to what matters most. Not only capturing scenes but also fully experiencing and immersing oneself in them, one hike, trail, and photograph at a time.

With a focus on landscapes, wildlife, and the subtle details often overlooked in nature, Nerdy Viking Photography is more than a visual journey. It’s a reminder to slow down, explore, and see the world from different perspectives. In moving forward with this project, the goal is to tell stories through images that highlight the incredible beauty and serenity of the natural world, blending technical skill with the passion and reverence for the great outdoors. Through each photo, there’s an invitation for others to join the journey, to be inspired by the intricate patterns of a leaf, the vastness of a mountain range, or the quiet presence of wildlife.

Nerdy Life of Mine past posts will still be here and I might do a podcast here or there. But it’s time to start the next adventure. May it be filled with as much wonder as this one has been.
