This was shot with Ilford HP5 Plus Black and White Negative Film 35mm Roll Film. Using my Nikon FM 35mm film camera with a 50mm F/1.8 lens.
A friend of mine started the Caffenol development recipe.. I have to say it is work, while there is some trial and errors. The process is promising and has some cool effects. Caffenol is basically:
Water
Instant coffee(cheaper the better)
Washing soda
Vitamin C

More of a eco-friendly developer used in analog photography to develop black-and-white film. It is made from common household ingredients, primarily instant coffee, vitamin C (ascorbic acid), and washing soda (sodium carbonate). The tannins in coffee act as the developing agent, while the vitamin C and washing soda help control the pH and improve development quality.

Caffenol is popular among photographers who want to experiment with alternative development methods or avoid using traditional chemical developers. The results can vary depending on the specific recipe and film used, but it generally produces a distinctive grainy texture and softer contrast.

We did have to buy fixer for the film. He also got a negative scanner to turn our pictures into digital photos. I’ll post some more of our Caffenol experiments as they come.
