So earlier this year (2023) you might have noticed a change with my blog. I’ve always had a love for photography and art. Just never really got the gumption or the real reason being self conscious about it. But something flipped and I took a deep dive into photography. I wanted to show case the places I’ve been and found over the years as well as new adventures.

So changing nerdylifeofmine.com happened once again to better fit my relit passion. Oh sure there will be the guaranteed nerdy post here and there. But I’ve been spending most of my time outside in the woods. If not there, with my family.

I really hope you all enjoy this new direction I’m going. Judging by some of the responses, it’s been a positive change. The main goal is to share moments of calm, beauty and wonders of the places I find myself. To show that the world isn’t a shit show 80% of the time. To maybe inspire people to get out more or take on a dream of their own.

Right now is 10:12pm on New Year’s Eve. 2023 has been a crazy year. Full of ups and downs, mistakes made and lessons learned. I’ve gone to so many places and had a number of adventures this year. Plus my son Rowan was born. It’s been fun watching him seeing things for the first time. Watching my wife with him and our two kids. I feel like I’ve been given a second chance.

2024 is just a few hours away. My New Year’s resolution…. Not make the same mistakes as last year, not to bother with toxic people or let them into our life. No matter who they are. Not to have my kindness taken advantage of. To get out and go on more adventures with my family.
