Many have shared their thoughts on Romero, so I’m probably not saying anything that hasn’t been said. This is just my personal account of my history of growing up with his films and what he meant to me as an artist. I didn’t really talk about it in the piece, but I got to meet him twice and tell him how much his work had meant to me. I completely understand how lucky I was to be able to do that and that most people never get the chance to. That’s not lost on me.
