Godzilla? Well, he’s no Rodan or Gamera, but, he’s pretty cool…

Okay, Godzilla is super fucking dope. He’s gone through a lot of looks and a lot of motivations over the years. Born as a metaphor for atomic-age fears and anger, Godzilla has experienced incredible success internationally as well in his birthplace of Japan. There are a few things that tend to remain consistent with this kaiju: Massive size, atomic breath, and the Godzilla scream. Whether he’s destroying other monsters, human cities, aliens, or previous iterations of himself, Godzilla has earned the title King of Monsters.  

No, but seriously, how great was it when Toho bought the rights to American-born Zilla entirely so that Godzilla could kill the shit out of him in Final Wars? That was the greatest.
